Biography
Bartholomew Cariss, also credited as Bart Cariss, is a British costume designer. He began his career at Angels The Costumiers, where he trained in costume making and gained knowledge of period costume. He studied fashion and theatre design, and worked as an assistant costume designer on projects including The Two Faces of January (2014), The Theory of Everything (2014) and the television series The Night Manager (2016).
As costume designer, his credits include the films Churchill (2017) and Nuremberg (2025), and the series Black Earth Rising (2018), White Lines (2020), Becoming Elizabeth (2022) and Shardlake (2024).
