Biography
Barton Dean is a television writer and producer. His early credits include writing and story contributions to the sitcom Taxi (1978).
He later worked on Newhart (1982) as a writer and story editor, and created the series Down Home (1990) and Muddling Through (1994). Dean also produced episodes of It's All Relative (2003) and other sitcoms. He won a Primetime Emmy Award in 1980 for the animated television film Carlton Your Doorman.
