Biography
Bassem Youssef is an Egyptian-American comedian, actor and former cardiac surgeon. Born on 22 March 1974 in Cairo, he began his career in medicine before turning to satire in 2011 with the YouTube series The B+ Show, which led to the television programme Al Bernameg (2011–2014).
He has since appeared in several television series and films. His acting credits include the role of Abood Rahman in the series Mo (2022), Miro Mansour in Upload (2020), Amrohi in Special Ops: Lioness (2023), and voice roles in DuckTales (2017) and Apple & Onion (2018). He has also contributed to writing and producing projects.
