Biography
Becky Mode is an American playwright, television writer and producer based in New York City. Raised in Washington, D.C., she studied theatre and American history at Wesleyan University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa.
Her play Fully Committed, co-created with Mark Setlock, opened Off-Broadway in 1999 and was named one of Time magazine's ten best plays of 2000; it later received a limited Broadway run in 2016. She appeared as an actress in the 1995 film Party Girl.
Mode has written for television series including Smash (2012–2013), Unbelievable (2019), for which she received teleplay credit, George & Tammy (2022) and Palm Royale (2024). She has also worked as a producer on several limited series.
