Biography
Bembol Roco, born Rafael Aranda Roco Jr., is a Filipino actor. He is best known for his lead performance as Julio Madiaga in Lino Brocka's 1975 film Manila in the Claws of Light.
Roco made his screen debut in a supporting role in Brocka's Tatlo, Dalawa, Isa (1974) before taking the central part in Manila in the Claws of Light. He later appeared as Kumar in the 1982 Australian-American film The Year of Living Dangerously. His subsequent work includes numerous supporting and villain roles in Philippine films and television series.
He has twin sons, Felix Roco and Dominic Roco, both actors.
