Biography
Ben Blue (born Benjamin Bernstein; 12 September 1901 – 7 March 1975) was a Canadian-American actor and comedian. He began his career in vaudeville and as a dancer before appearing in short films for Warner Bros. from 1926, and later worked at Hal Roach Studios, Paramount Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
His film roles included Sid Simms in For Me and My Gal (1942), the biplane pilot in It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963), Luther Grilk in The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming (1966), and the technical adviser in A Guide for the Married Man (1967). He also appeared as Moley in the television series Land of the Giants (1968). Blue hosted his own television series in 1950 and owned nightclubs.
