Biography
Ben Cooper (born Benjamin Austin Cooper Jr.) was an American actor. He began his career as a child on Broadway in the long-running production of Life with Father (1939) and later attended Columbia University. He appeared in numerous films and on radio before transitioning to film and television roles.
Cooper was known for his work in Westerns, including Johnny Guitar (1954) as Turkey Ralston and The Rose Tattoo (1955) as Seaman Jack Hunter. He also appeared in television series such as The Twilight Zone, Bonanza, Perry Mason, Gunsmoke and Combat!. In 2005 he received a Golden Boot Award for his contributions to Westerns.
