Biography
Ben Lewis (1894–1970) was an American film editor who worked primarily at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Born in New York, he began his career in the silent era and edited more than 120 films and television episodes over five decades.
His credits include Trader Horn (1931), Tarzan the Ape Man (1932), Dinner at Eight (1933), Mark of the Vampire (1935), Lassie Come Home (1943), The Red Badge of Courage (1951) and The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (1962). He retired in 1969; his brother Joe Lewis was a film director.
