Biography
Ben Power is a British writer, dramaturg and playwright. He studied English at the University of Cambridge and began his career in theatre as associate director of Headlong, collaborating frequently with Rupert Goold.
He has worked extensively at the National Theatre, serving as associate director from 2010 and later as deputy artistic director. His adaptations there include The Lehman Trilogy, which transferred to the West End and Broadway, winning the 2022 Tony Award for Best Play.
Power wrote screenplays and adaptations for five episodes of the BBC series The Hollow Crown (2012–2016). He also wrote the screenplay for the 2021 film Munich: The Edge of War.
