Biography
Ben Rock is an American film and theatre director. Born on 22 April 1971 in Miami, Florida, he studied at the University of Central Florida. His early career included work as a special effects makeup artist before he moved into directing commercials, short films and promotional content.
Rock served as production designer on The Blair Witch Project (1999), for which he also contributed to the film's mythology and created the iconic "stick man" symbol. He wrote the television special Curse of the Blair Witch (1999) and directed the related specials The Burkittsville 7 (2000) and Shadow of the Blair Witch (2000). His first feature film as director was the science-fiction horror Alien Raiders (2008).
