Biography
Benedikte Hansen is a Danish actress. She trained at Statens Teaterskole (1978–1981) and has performed on stage at the Royal Danish Theatre and other Copenhagen venues, appearing in productions including Mourning Becomes Electra (1991), Kjartan and Gudrun (1993) and Antony and Cleopatra (2001).
She is best known for her recurring role as journalist Hanne Holm in the television series Borgen (2010–2013). Other screen credits include Birgitte Agger in The Killing (2009), the Baroness in the BBC adaptation of The Lady Vanishes (2013), Grevinde Anne-Grethe in Seaside Hotel (2013–2024) and Jørgen’s mother in The Girl with the Needle (2024). In 2016 she received the Reumert Award for Best Actress.
