Biography
Benjamin Biolay is a French actor, singer, musician, songwriter and record producer. Born on 20 January 1973 in Villefranche-sur-Saône, he trained at the Lyon Conservatory and began his career in music before moving into acting.
He is known for roles including Victor Hugo in Personal Shopper (2016), Richard Warrimer in On a Magical Night (2019), Fred de Meurs in France (2021) and appearances in Memoir of War (2017) and Madame Claude (2021). He has also composed for and produced albums by other French artists.
Biolay was married to actress and singer Chiara Mastroianni from 2002 to 2005.
