Biography
Benjamin Hendrickson was an American actor. He was born on 26 August 1950 in Huntington, Long Island, New York, and died there on 3 July 2006.
He trained at the Juilliard School as part of its first drama division class and was a founding member of John Houseman's The Acting Company. Hendrickson appeared in numerous stage productions, including Broadway roles in Awake and Sing, Strider and The Elephant Man.
Hendrickson played Dr. Frederick Chilton in the film Manhunter (1986). He was best known for his long-running role as Harold 'Hal' Munson Jr. on the daytime soap opera As the World Turns (1985–2006), for which he received a Daytime Emmy Award in 2003. His other film credits include Regarding Henry (1991), Consenting Adults (1992) and Spanking the Monkey (1994).
