Biography
Benjamin Millepied is a French dancer, choreographer and occasional actor. Born on 10 June 1977 in Bordeaux, he trained at the School of American Ballet and joined New York City Ballet in 1995, becoming a soloist in 1998 and principal dancer in 2002.
He choreographed and appeared in the 2010 film Black Swan, playing the role of David Moreau/The Prince opposite Natalie Portman. Millepied has created choreography for major ballet companies and films including Dune (2024), and directed the 2023 feature Carmen.
