Biography
Benjamin Rubin is a writer and producer. He was born in Massachusetts and grew up in Rhode Island. He graduated with a BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2009, with a double major in Film & Digital Media and Politics, and later completed the Creative Producing MFA programme at Columbia University in 2013.
Rubin produced a number of short films that screened at festivals including Sundance and SXSW, and received the 2012 HBO Films Young Producer's Award. Since 2012 he has worked as a researcher and development assistant for screenwriter Danny Strong. He served as staff writer and co-writer on one episode of the 2021 Hulu miniseries Dopesick.
