Biography
Bennett Yellin is an American screenwriter. He was born on 8 November 1959 in Los Angeles and studied fiction at UCLA before completing an MFA at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
While in graduate school he met Peter Farrelly; the pair began writing together and later collaborated with Bobby Farrelly. Their work includes the screenplay for the 1994 comedy Dumb and Dumber, on which Yellin received a shared writing credit. He also contributed to the 2014 sequel Dumb and Dumber To and received story credit on Stuck on You (2003).
Yellin has written for other films including In the Blood (2014), Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead (2008) and Santa's Little Helper (2015). Since 2007 he has maintained a writing partnership with James Robert Johnston.
