Biography
Benny Boom, also credited as Benny Douglas, is an American director of music videos, television and film. Born on 22 July 1971 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he studied film at Temple University before beginning his career as a production assistant and assistant to directors including Hype Williams and Director X.
He is known for directing the films Next Day Air (2009), S.W.A.T.: Firefight (2011) and All Eyez on Me (2017), as well as episodes of television series including Chicago P.D. (2014), NCIS: Los Angeles, Empire (2015), All American (2018), Black Lightning (2018) and The Equalizer (2021). He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha.
