Biography
Christine Swanson is an American director and screenwriter. She earned an MFA in Film from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she was selected as the Willard T.C. Johnson Fellow, and holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame, double majoring in communications and Japanese.
Swanson has directed episodes of television series including Chicago P.D. (2018), Sweet Magnolias (2025), FBI, All American, Roswell, New Mexico, P-Valley, MacGyver, Bel-Air and Found. She has also directed the television films Love Under New Management: The Miki Howard Story (2016) and The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel (2020).
Her feature directing credits include All About You (2001) and Albany Road (2024). She has received NAACP Image Award nominations for Outstanding Directing in a Television Motion Picture.
