Biography
Bernard Schwartz (9 December 1917 – 17 October 2003) was an American film producer. Born in Manhattan, New York, he served as a medic with the US Third Army during the Second World War and participated in the Battle of the Bulge.
Schwartz produced Coal Miner's Daughter (1980), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. He also produced or executive-produced Eye of the Cat (1969), Psycho II (1983), Roadgames (1981), Sweet Dreams (1985) and St. Elmo's Fire (1985). He was married to Suzanne Schwartz and had two sons.
