Biography
Bertrand Cadart was a French actor and motorcycle enthusiast. Born on 30 April 1948 in Amiens, Somme, France, he moved to Australia in 1972. He worked as an on-air presenter for Radio Australia’s French-language programmes at the ABC.
Cadart appeared as Clunk in the film Mad Max (1979). He also featured in Bolivian Kiss (2012) and appeared as himself in documentaries including The Madness of Max (2015) and Beyond the Wasteland (2022). In 2007 he was elected Mayor of Glamorgan Spring Bay Council in Tasmania, where he promoted motorcycle-friendly policies. He died on 10 April 2020 in Caloundra, Queensland.
