Biography

Betsy Ann Hisle (born Juanita J. Hisle) was an American child actress. She was born on 30 May 1917 in Seattle, Washington, and died on 20 September 1978 in Los Angeles, California. She appeared in numerous silent films between 1921 and 1933, often in uncredited juvenile roles.

Hisle is credited as Little Girl (uncredited) in Sherlock Jr. (1924) and Girl Shy (1924), and as Little Girl at Tito's Death (uncredited) in Laugh, Clown, Laugh (1928). Other notable appearances include Nellie, the Beautiful Cloak Model (1924), The Way of All Flesh (1927) and Sorrell and Son (1927). She also performed in Hal Roach shorts and had some stage experience as a child.
