Biography
Bilal, born Bilal Sayeed Oliver, is an American singer, songwriter and actor. He trained at the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts and later at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York.
He is known for appearances in Moonwalker (1988) as a dancer in the "Badder" segment, The Fighting Temptations (2003) as a nightclub singer, and as himself in Dave Chappelle's Block Party (2005). He has also contributed to soundtracks for films including Smokin' Aces (2006), Detroit (2017) and Queen & Slim (2019).
