Biography
Bill Bambridge (born William Moari'imaiterai Bambridge) was a French Polynesian actor and assistant director. Born on 18 August 1892 in Papeete, Tahiti, he worked on F. W. Murnau's Tabu: A Story of the South Seas (1931), appearing as the policeman (credited as Jean) and serving as assistant director alongside David Flaherty.
He later played Hitihiti in the 1935 MGM production of Mutiny on the Bounty. Bambridge died on 12 January 1950 in Papeete.
