Biography
Bill Gerber (born 30 April 1957) is an American film and television producer. He served as President of Production at Warner Bros. Pictures before establishing a long-standing producing deal with the studio through his company Gerber Pictures.
He produced Gran Torino (2008), A Star Is Born (2018), Grudge Match (2013) and The Dukes of Hazzard (2005), and was executive producer on A Very Long Engagement (2004). As a studio executive he oversaw numerous films that received multiple Academy Award nominations and wins, including L.A. Confidential (1997), Unforgiven (1992) and the Harry Potter series. He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture for A Star Is Born.
Before entering film, Gerber was a partner at Lookout Management, where he worked with artists including Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and The Cars, and signed acts such as Heaven 17 and Paul Reubens.
