Biography
Bill Mesce Jr. is a screenwriter, playwright and author. His first professional screenwriting credit came through a contest, resulting in an uncredited contribution to Brian De Palma's Blow Out (1981). He later wrote the screenplay for the feature Road Ends (1997), on which he also served as associate producer; the film screened at several festivals. He received an uncredited writer credit on The Versace Murder (1998).
Mesce is the author of more than twenty books, including the World War II novel The Advocate (and sequels), short fiction collections and non-fiction works on film. A native of New Jersey, he has worked as an adjunct instructor at several colleges and universities in the state since 2010 and was on the creative writing faculty at the University of Maine at Farmington from 2017 to 2018.
