Biography
Bill Steinkellner is an American screenwriter and producer. Born on 5 February 1949, he has worked extensively in television since the early 1980s.
He is best known for his contributions to the sitcom Cheers (1982), on which he served as a writer and later as producer and executive producer. With his wife Cheri Steinkellner, he co-created the series Bob (1992) and worked on the animated series and film Teacher's Pet (2000–2004). The couple also wrote the book for the musical Sister Act, which received a Tony Award nomination.
Steinkellner has received two Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on Cheers.
