Biography
Bill Zuckert (also credited as William Zuckert or Bill Zukert) was an American actor. Born in the Bronx, New York, he began his career in radio in 1941 and appeared in numerous dramatic programmes during the 1940s and 1950s. He served with the Seabees in New Guinea during the Second World War.
Zuckert had a long career in television and film, with guest roles in series including Star Trek (1966), Columbo (1971), Little House on the Prairie (1974) and Bewitched (1964). His film credits include Blazing Saddles (1974), Hang 'em High (1968), Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970), Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994) and Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult (1994). He also appeared on Broadway and served on the boards of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
He died in Woodland Hills, California, in 1997.
