Biography
Birthe Neumann is a Danish actress. She was born on 30 April 1947 in Copenhagen and graduated from the Danish National School of Theatre in 1972. Shortly afterwards she joined the Royal Danish Theatre, where she has appeared in numerous stage productions.
Neumann is known for film roles including the mother in The Celebration (1998), Hanne in Open Hearts (2002), a doctor in In a Better World (2010), and Inger Lis in Men & Chicken (2015). She has also appeared in television series such as The Kingdom (1994) and Constellation (2024).
She has received several Bodil and Robert awards for her performances. Neumann was married to actor Paul Hüttel from 1974 until his death in 2025.
