Biography
Bisha K. Ali (born 17 March 1989) is a British stand-up comedian and screenwriter. She was born in Hounslow, Greater London, and participated in the Royal Court Theatre's Young Writers programme in 2012. She previously worked as a data scientist and domestic violence support worker before moving into comedy and screenwriting.
Ali's television writing credits include staff writer on the 2019 miniseries Four Weddings and a Funeral, writer and executive story editor on the 2021 series Loki, and head writer and creator on the 2022 series Ms. Marvel. She has also written for Sex Education (2019) and served as executive producer and writer on Black Mirror (2023–2025), co-writing the episode "Demon 79" with Charlie Brooker. In 2024 she won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Writer: Drama for that episode.
