Biography

Blair Singer is a television writer, producer and playwright. Born on 18 September 1970 in Huntington, New York, he graduated from the Juilliard School of Drama. His early writing credits include episodes of Monk (2006) and Weeds (2007), on which he served as staff writer.

Singer has written for Blue Bloods, Bull, What/If and Fairly Legal, and has held producing roles on series including Youth & Consequences and Filthy Rich. An Emmy nominee, he is also the author of plays such as Matthew Modine Saves the Alpacas and Placement. He serves as associate professor of television studies at Columbia University’s School of the Arts.
