Biography
Bob Crowley is a theatre scenic and costume designer and theatre director. Born in Cork, Ireland, on 10 June 1952, he trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has designed extensively for the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
He is known for his Broadway work, including scenic and costume designs for productions such as Carousel (1994), Aida (2000), The History Boys (2006), Mary Poppins (2007), The Coast of Utopia (2007), Once (2012) and An American in Paris (2015), for which he has won seven Tony Awards. His film credits include costume design on The Crucible (1996). He is the brother of film director John Crowley and lives between London, New York and West Cork.
