Biography
Bob Jaques is a Canadian-American animator, storyboard artist and director. He trained at Sheridan College and began his career in the 1970s, working as an animator on films including Rock & Rule (1983) and The Care Bears Movie (1985).
He is best known for his work as animation director on The Ren & Stimpy Show (1991–1993), for which he received two Primetime Emmy nominations, and later contributions to SpongeBob SquarePants. Jaques directed episodes of Family Guy (1999), The Oblongs (2001), My Life as a Teenage Robot (2002) and other series. He co-founded the animation studio Carbunkle Cartoons with his wife, animator Kelly Armstrong, to whom he has been married since 1989.
