Biography
Bobbe Brox (born Josephine Brock) was an American actress and singer, best known as a member of the Brox Sisters vocal trio with her sisters Lorayne and Patricia.
The sisters began performing in vaudeville and achieved success on Broadway in Irving Berlin's Music Box Revue (1921–1924), the Ziegfeld Follies of 1927 and The Cocoanuts (1925–1926) with the Marx Brothers. They appeared in early sound films including The Hollywood Revue of 1929, where they performed "Singin' in the Rain" with Cliff Edwards, and King of Jazz (1930). Brox later worked as a costume designer on The Big Lift (1950).
She was married to producer William Perlberg and, from 1969, to songwriter Jimmy Van Heusen. Brox died in 1999.
