Biography
Booker Talmadge Bradshaw (also credited as Booker T. Bradshaw) was an American actor, television writer, record producer and Motown executive. Born in Richmond, Virginia, on 21 May 1940, he studied English at Harvard University, where he also developed his acting skills, and later trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
As an actor, he is known for portraying Dr. M'Benga in two episodes of the original Star Trek series (1968–1969) and for his role as Howard Brunswick in the film Coffy (1973). He wrote episodes of several television series, including the Columbo episode "Playback" (1975), as well as episodes of Planet of the Apes (1974), Ellery Queen (1976) and Diff'rent Strokes (1982). Bradshaw died in Los Angeles on 1 April 2003.
