Biography

Bramwell Fletcher was an English stage, film and television actor. He made his stage debut in 1927 and his Broadway debut in 1929. His early film work included Svengali (1931) and a notable appearance as Ralph Norton in The Mummy (1932).

Fletcher appeared in The Scarlet Pimpernel (1934) and as Harrison in Random Harvest (1942). In 1943 he largely left films for theatre and television work. He created and performed the one-man show The Bernard Shaw Story in 1965. He was born on 20 February 1904 in Bradford, Yorkshire, and died on 22 June 1988 in Westmoreland, New Hampshire.
