Biography
Brendan Hay is an American screenwriter, television producer and comic book creator. Born on 19 February 1979 on Long Island, New York, he grew up in Carle Place and attended Carle Place High School. He studied at New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
Hay began his career at The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, where he worked as a writer and producer. He has written for The Simpsons (his credited episode is the season 20 finale 'Coming to Homerica'), Robot Chicken (for which he received two Primetime Emmy nominations), The Mighty B!, Frank TV and other series. He served as showrunner and executive producer on the DreamWorks Animation Netflix series Dawn of the Croods and Harvey Girls Forever!, and as executive producer and writer on Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai.
Hay has also written comic books, including the graphic novel Rascal Raccoon's Raging Revenge and work for Boom! Studios. He is married to freelance writer Jennifer Chen.
