Biography
Brendan J. Stafford (1915–1991) was an Irish cinematographer who worked extensively in British film and television. Born in Dublin, he became a member of the British Society of Cinematographers and served as director of photography on numerous productions from the 1940s to the 1980s.
He is best known for his television work, including Danger Man (1960–1966), The Prisoner (1967–1968), UFO (1970–1971), The Protectors (1972–1974) and Space: 1999 (1975–1977). Stafford also directed three feature films and contributed to many British features such as Eight O'Clock Walk (1954) and Crossplot (1969).
