Biography
Brian Alan Lane is a writer and producer whose television credits include episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation (1988), Remington Steele (1983–1984), MacGyver (1986), Matlock (1993–1994) and Blue Thunder (1984). Lane also served as story editor on Remington Steele and producer on Hunter (1985).
Lane created the short-lived series Hollywood Detective (1991) for A&E, on which Lane was credited as Scott Curtis. Later work includes the television films The Girl from Mars (1991) and Out of Time (1988).
Lane was born on 16 November 1953 in Los Angeles. Lane later worked as a tenured professor of writing at California State University, Long Beach, and as an attorney and novelist.
