Biography
Brian Hannant is an Australian screenwriter and director. Born in Brisbane in 1940, he worked for many years at Film Australia and contributed to several early feature and anthology projects.
Hannant co-wrote the screenplay for Mad Max 2 (1981) with George Miller and Terry Hayes; he also served as first assistant director and second unit director on the film. He directed and co-wrote the science-fiction feature The Time Guardian (1987). Earlier credits include directing the segment 'Judy' in the anthology Three to Go (1971) and the feature Flashpoint (1973), as well as numerous documentaries and short films.
