Biography
Brian Hayes Currie is an American screenwriter, actor and producer. Born in 1961 in Peabody, Massachusetts, he attended St John's Preparatory School in Danvers and moved to California in the early 1990s, where he worked in nightclubs while pursuing acting and writing.
Currie has appeared in small roles in numerous films, including Armageddon (1998), Con Air (1997), Me, Myself & Irene (2000) and The Game Plan (2007). He wrote the screenplay for Two Tickets to Paradise (2006), in which he also acted.
He co-wrote the screenplay for Green Book (2018) with Nick Vallelonga and Peter Farrelly, also serving as a producer and appearing in a cameo as a Maryland State Trooper. The film won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and the Golden Globe Award for Best Screenplay. Currie later co-wrote The Greatest Beer Run Ever (2022) with Farrelly and Pete Jones.
