Biography
Brian Yang (Chinese: 楊明燊) is an American actor and producer. Born on 28 October 1973 in Columbus, Ohio, he was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and studied biology and dramatic arts at the University of California, Berkeley. His parents are immigrants from Taiwan; he speaks English and Mandarin.
Yang is best known for playing the recurring role of lab technician Charlie Fong on the television series Hawaii Five-0 (2010), appearing in approximately 30 episodes between 2011 and 2014. His other acting credits include roles in Saving Face (2004), The Man with the Iron Fists (2012), Westworld (2016), The Blacklist (2013) and The Laundromat (2019). He has also worked as a producer on projects including the documentary Linsanity (2013).
In 2013 Yang received the Rémy Martin Asian American Achievement Award in Film and Television at the Asian American International Film Festival.
