Biography
Bridget Ikin is a New Zealand film producer based in Australia since 1990. She established her company Hibiscus Films in New Zealand in the early 1980s and has produced feature films, shorts and documentaries. Her credits include Kitchen Sink (1989), An Angel at My Table (1990), Look Both Ways (2005) and Sherpa (2015).
Ikin was born in Lower Hutt and studied English literature at the University of Auckland and London University. She has held roles including head of SBS Independent, commissioning over 400 hours of programming, and feature film evaluation manager at the Film Finance Corporation. In 2011 she co-founded Felix Media with John Maynard. She received an honorary Doctor of Arts from the Australian Film, Television and Radio School in 2018.
