Biography
Brigitte Lahaie is a French actress and radio presenter. Born Brigitte Lucie Jeanine Van Meerhaeghe on 12 October 1955 in Tourcoing, she entered the adult film industry in 1976 and appeared in over one hundred erotic and pornographic films until around 1980.
She moved into mainstream roles from the late 1970s, often credited as Brigitte Simonin. These include I... for Icarus (1979), Fascination (1979), The Grapes of Death (1978), The Night of the Hunted (1980), Diva (1981), For a Cop's Hide (1981), Faceless (1988), Henry & June (1990) and Calvaire (2005). She was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame in 2014.
Lahaie has also hosted radio talk shows on sexuality and relationships.
