Biography
Brooks West was an American actor and producer. He played Dist. Atty. Mitch Lodwick in Otto Preminger's Anatomy of a Murder (1959), opposite his wife Eve Arden.
Born Dudley Brooks West on 22 February 1916 in Hillsboro, Texas, he graduated from the University of Texas and served in the US Air Force during the Second World War. He appeared in television series including My Friend Irma (1952–1953) and worked as associate producer on The Eve Arden Show (1957–1958). He also performed on Broadway and directed plays.
West married actress Eve Arden in 1952; they had four children. He died on 7 February 1984 in Los Angeles, California.
