Biography

Bruce Bould (19 May 1949 – 15 May 2023) was an English actor. Born in Bradford, Yorkshire, he began his career at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre aged 17 and trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 1969.

He is best known for playing David Harris-Jones in the BBC sitcom The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin (1976–1979), a role he reprised in the sequel series The Legacy of Reginald Perrin (1996). Other television appearances include The Good Life (1975) as Guy, The New Avengers (1976) as Froggart, As Time Goes By (1992) as a hotel manager, and regular parts in Howards' Way (1985–1987).

Bould was married to actress Theresa Watson, with whom he appeared on screen as husband and wife in The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin.
