Biography
Bruce Miller is an American composer and music arranger. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he began his career as a saxophonist and guitarist, touring with Paul Anka before moving to Los Angeles to work as an orchestral arranger for soul and R&B artists including the Commodores, the Temptations and Rose Royce.
Miller has composed for numerous television series. He created the theme music for Frasier (1993–2004), with lyrics by Darryl Phinnessee, and returned for the 2023 revival alongside his son Jason Miller. Other credits include Knots Landing, Designing Women, Wings, Becker, The Odd Couple (2015) and 'Til Death (2006), as well as the television films Bonanza: The Return (1993) and Bonanza: Under Attack (1995).
He received Emmy nominations for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Main Title Theme Music for Frasier in 1994 and for music direction on the Sammy Davis Jr. 60th Anniversary Celebration.
