Biography
Bruce Yu Ka-on (余家安), also credited as Bruce Yu or Yu Ka-on, was a Hong Kong production designer, art director and costume designer. He worked extensively in Hong Kong cinema from the 1990s onwards.
His credits include production design on The Mermaid (2016), Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons (2013), Blind Detective (2013), Running on Karma (2003) and Breaking News (2004), and art direction on The Heroic Trio (1993) and Mulan: Rise of a Warrior (2009). He also contributed to costume design on Limbo (2021). Yu was a multiple winner of the Hong Kong Film Award for his work.
He died on 28 July 2022.
