Biography
Bruna Marquezine is a Brazilian actress and filmmaker. Born Bruna Reis Maia on 4 August 1995 in Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro, she began her career in 2000 as a child interviewer on the television programme Gente Inocente.
She appeared in several telenovelas and Xuxa productions as a child, including the role of Salete Machado in Mulheres Apaixonadas (2003) and Maria in Xuxa Abracadabra (2003). Marquezine made her first English-language film appearance in Breaking Through (2015).
Her international breakthrough came with the role of Jenny Kord in the DC film Blue Beetle (2023). She has received awards including the Troféu Imprensa and Contigo Award.
