Biography
Bruno Zanin was an Italian actor. Born on 9 April 1951 in Vigonovo, Veneto, he died on 7 July 2024 in Domodossola, Piedmont.
He is best known for playing Titta Biondi in Federico Fellini's Amarcord (1973), which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Discovered by chance by Fellini at Cinecittà while accompanying a friend, Zanin had no previous acting experience. He went on to appear in other films including The Moro Affair (1986) and In Search of Fellini (2017).
Zanin also worked in theatre with directors such as Giorgio Strehler and Luca Ronconi, and later published an autobiographical novel. He worked as a war reporter and humanitarian activist, and lived for many years in a cabin in Vanzone con San Carlo in the Piedmont Alps.
