Biography
Bryan Gentry is an American cinematographer based in Newark, New Jersey. He began his career in 2013 on the Discovery ID series The Perfect Murder and has worked primarily in documentaries for television and film.
His credits include cinematography on the 2026 documentary When a Witness Recants, directed by Dawn Porter, which premiered at Sundance. He served as additional director of photography on Sly (2023) and as cinematographer on Luther: Never Too Much (2024) and episodes of Stax: Soulsville, U.S.A. (2024). Gentry received a Black Reel Award nomination for outstanding cinematography for Luther: Never Too Much.
